A pair of canines were chained to a post in an alley in Pompano, Florida, according to police officer Angela Laurella. Because there were no security cameras in the area, it was hard to determine how long they had been abandoned.
Because of the extreme heat in this region of the nation, the officer felt she had to act swiftly to save the animals. She dashed to the aforementioned location and discovered a grey, sickly dog clinging on a power pole.
The officer informed Amy Roman, president and creator of 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida, about the dog’s situation, and she wanted to assist.

Amy explained to The Dodo:
“He was tethered to a post with a short leash.” He was severely malnourished and dehydrated, with all of his bones and ribs protruding.”
When the dog noticed the officer approaching, he moved, placing his paw on Angela’s hand and tilting his head to accept affection.

Amy continued, ”
“She simply carefully approached him and extended her hand; he shrugged and gave her his paw, as if to say, ‘Please get me out of here!’”
The officer could see right away that the dog had had a terrible life and required special care. As a result, she phoned Amy’s animal rescue facility, hoping that they might assist the dog.

Although the rescue center was above his capabilities, this did not prevent him from assisting him.
